Joy Division.
Last night Pete and I watched Control the heartbreaking documentary film about Ian Curtis. The film details the life of the troubled young musician, who forged a new kind of music out of the punk rock scene of the United Kingdom in the 1970s, and the band Joy Division, which he headed from 1977 to 1980.

Doggy Blackmail
Lucy goes to doggy daycare (or school as Pete and I refer to it) and we are always so curious to know what she does all day ... and now we can find out! With this Pet's Eye View Digital Camera. You just clip it to their collar, and it will record snapshots of their day! You'll have a photo diary of your pet's travels and travails.
Set the timer to record a shot every 1, 5, or 15 minutes and the Pet's Eye View Digital Camera is good to go. At the end of the day, you can download the shots to your computer and see what your pet did all day.

Holiday Hop (part 2)
The Short North introduces Holiday [s]Hop on December 20. Your favorite stores will be open until at least 9PM. Experience Super Saturday with a Short North twist. The District is planning street performers, in-shop performers, games, prizes and a number of surprises. Short North Santa and his prize patrol will be touring the district looking for visitors sporting a bit of holiday bling. If you're selected, you'll receive a gift certificate, special discount or other prize on the spot.
Merchants will be creating shopping experiences and special sales just in time for last minute shopping. The mile-long stretch of High Street arches will even get a striking new look tailored for the evening... a sparkling, ever-changing rainbow of colors, twinkling and jumping from arch to arch.
We missed the first Holiday Hop so I was thrilled when I read this, and cannot wait to go!

Vivre sa vie @ The Wexner Center
(Jean Luc Godard, 1962)
Fri, Dec 12 - Sat, Dec 13, 2008 | 7:00PM
See this famed icon of the French new wave, one of Jean Luc Godard’s most deeply felt films, in a breathtaking new print from Janus Films. Anna Karina, then Godard’s wife, plays Nana Kleinfrankenheim, a young Parisienne who turns to prostitution when faced with a failed relationship, a dead-end job, and potential homelessness. Godard tells the story in a series of 12 almost Brechtian vignettes, connected by Karina's astonishing lead performance and cinematographer Raoul Coutard's gorgeous Paris streetscapes. BANANAS!

The Rachel Zoe Project Renewed for Second Season!
Bravo has ordered a second season of The Rachel Zoe Project. Production hasn't begun, but new episodes will begin airing mid-2009. It's still unclear if assistants Brad and Taylor will return for the second season, but as of October they were "still happily employed." Indeed, we saw Zoe running around with Brad during Fashion Week in September sans cameras, but acting just as they do when the cameras are there. Gosh, we hope they bring the crew round in February. Click here for full story.
