Music in the afternoon...
This song is for North ... who does the best Mick impression ever and who was totally disgusted that I had never heard this song until Saturday!

Andy Warhol Other Voices, Other Rooms

Other Voices, Other Rooms sheds new light on the celebrated pop artist and focuses on the ideas at the heart of his work: embracing consumer culture, exploring sexual identity, challenging social conventions, and erasing distinctions between high and low culture.
The Wexner Center is proud to host the only U.S. presentation of this spectacular exhibition featuring films, videos, paintings, drawings, prints, wallpaper, installations, objects, seldom heard audio recordings, and extraordinary archival material. Other Voices, Other Rooms opens in Columbus just after what would have been the late artist's 80th birthday (in August 2008).
Pete and I attended the opening of this amazing show on Friday night and had a wonderful time ... I strongly encourage everyone to go check it out!!

Man on Wire.

With the Drexel Grandview Theatre closing in a few weeks (read the article here), I think everyone should go one last time! They are currently showing Man on Wire, a documentary film directed by James Marsh. The film chronicles Philippe Petit's 1974 high-wire walk between the Twin Towers of New York's World Trade Center.

Vacation in review ....

Departures, Rain, huge waves, jelly fish wounds, outlet shopping, delicious dinners, sun, pool, SPF 50, key lime pie, Jodi Picoult books, corona light, fishing, arrivals.
It was a wonderful vacation ... and despite all the tropical storms surrounding Florida last week we only had 1 day of rain!

Wexner Drive-In Movie....

The Wexner Center Drive-In heads to a new location for this special one-off screening on the Ohio Statehouse grounds.
Bring your chairs or blankets to the Statehouse West Plaza (on the High Street side of the building). Catering by Design, will be providing a cash bar and fresh grilled items for purchase. Just like at the Wexner Center, the actual screening will begin at dusk.
Cary Grant, Jean Arthur, and Ronald Coleman team up in The Talk of The Town, a surprising romantic comedy about justice. Stevens crafts a satisfying and suspenseful film by blending the playfulness of 1930s’ screwball comedies into the socially conscious debates of 1940s’ dramas. Coleman, as a law professor in line for the Supreme Court, and Grant, as an accused arsonist, spar politically and romantically, as both fall for Arthur’s small-town teacher. (118 mins., 35mm)
Cross your fingers that the rain stops because if not this screening will be canceled!!

I heart blueberry ale..

I had my first Blueberry Ale last night and fell in love! The blueberry flavor is strong and it is pretty sweet, but it would be the perfect match for a hot summer night or any bbq. I want more immediately.

My heart hurts...
Erica is heading west today to start her new amazing job in La Jolla, California, and while I know I'm not losing her (we will forever be friends) I can't help but be sad. Her and Conroy have become family to me and Pete and I am so going to miss our dinners, bike rides, gossip sessions + nights at park st.

I love you + can't wait to visit!
