I heart frozen yogurt.
Aside from cupcakes, soft serve frozen yogurt is my food obsession! So you can imagine my delight when I came across this t-shirt.

I heart Tony Bennett.

When: Thursday, April 19
Where: Ohio Theatre, Downtown

I grew up listening to Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, and have always adored their music. I just read about this concert in The Alive and I now desperately want to go! I wonder if I can get tickets ... ??

I love cupcakes!
This swap is for cupcake related items - things for making cupcakes (cupcake papers and toppers, sprinkles, cookbooks) and things with cupcakes on them (notecards, aprons, etc.). Surprise your partner with a great box of cupcake stuff!
I saw this swap on my (quazi) sister-in-laws blog, and immediately signed up! What could be better than receiving a box full of goodies all related to cupcakes!? I can't wait. Go to swap-bot.com to sign up.

JAZZ FEST 2007.
Jazz Fest 2007 is just around the corner, and this year Pete and I have the opportunity to attend! Our good friend Joe has rented a condo in The French Quarter where we can retreat between shows. This years all-star lineup includes Van Morrison, Taj Mahal, Counting Crows, Norah Jones, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Galactic, John Mayer, The Allman Brothers and countless other performers. It's sure to be an amazing weekend!

CONGRATULATIONS CHRIS!
I'm sooo proud to announce that my favorite brother-in-law was accepted to the very elite Masters in Chinese program at The Ohio State University. Not only does this mean that Chris will be able to continue his studies, but it also means that he and my sister are coming home!! YAY!

Spring holiday weekend.
A few images from our holiday in Washington D.C. We had an amazing dinner at Cafe Milano, walked all throughout the city, visited several art museums and even managed to hit a few night clubs! It really was a lovely weekend.

Lucy is going to be so pleased....
This blurb is from an article, by Mark Ferenick, published in the Columbus Dispatch this week:
Patch on 4th Street pushed as dog park
Pet owners want three or four such areas Downtown
Downtown doesn't offer dogs much room to romp, but now there's a plan to find them some.
The proposed dog park at Spring and N. 4th streets would be in a small triangle at the southeast corner, now a green patch just big enough for a dog to run a couple of short laps and do his business.
But it would be somewhere for Fido to go. And with more dog owners living Downtown, such parks are needed, said Kevin Wood, president of the Downtown Residents' Association.
"We want to develop three or four of these Downtown. That's the goal," he said.

Cool artist: Mark Williams
I love the artwork of Mark Williams! I like his use of vibrant rich color, and his unique pairing of objects. I also love that he was born in Columbus, Ohio and went to Miami University.

I need this camera...
I broke my last camera in December while in LA and have been longing for a new one since. This might just be it... although it might be embarassing to take pictures with. What do you think?

happy easter.
I will be spending my easter weekend in Washington DC with Pete. I can't wait to go - the only other time I've been was for my 8th grade class trip. I'm excited to site-see, shop, and try out new restaurants! I hope you have a lovely weekend, and a Happy Easter! (Image from Cupcakes Take the Cake.)

Holey donuts!
This was featured on Daily Candy this morning. What a delightful new concept of low fat donuts that don't include any added chemicals or artificial sweeteners! They instead use a wheat based yeast donut mix, and then use the lost art of hand rolling and donut cutting. They also have their very own patented process which avoids deep frying! These delicious low-fat treats are frozen and can be shipped anywhere! Available at holeydonuts.net.
