Taste that pops!
My parents and I have been visiting the North Market every Saturday morning since I was in High School. Over the years we've become friends with several vendors and tasted almost every food selection offered. It wasn't until a few weeks ago however that I tried Pams Market popcorn ... and let me tell you it's amazing! I'm totally hooked on the Chicago Cheddar, and buy a $6 bag almost every week.

..was just announced the sexiest women in Maxim Magazines 100 hottest women issue. I've always thought Lohan was pretty, and am quite pleased that she was on the top of this list ... she is bringing pride to me and all the other red head, freckled faced girls out there!

They voted off the wrong idol...
I've never been the biggest fan of the show American Idol, but my roommate Maggie definitely is, and therefore most weeks I end up watching it with her. We watched it last night and I will admit I was totally floored to see Melinda Doolittle get voted off. She was by far the most talented of the three, and to be honest I was sad to see her go. I guess Maggie is right though, it's partly my fault since I didn't vote ... sorry Melinda!

Kate Moss for Top Shop
Given that Kate Moss has such amazing personal style, I had pretty high expectations for her debut collection for Top Shop. I have to admit however that I was disappointed by her collection. I thought overall it was boring and overpriced ... check it out for yourself at Top Shop.

Express sold, Limited will go...
I can't say that I shop at either Express or Limited stores, but it still is sad (and somewhat shocking) to see them be sold. At least they didn't sell off Bath and Body Works, or I would be out of a job before I even start! This article was in the Columbus Dispatch this morning...
Wexner exiting apparel trade
Express sold, Limited will go; lingerie, fragrance chains stay

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
After selling off a majority interest in its Express division yesterday, Limited Brands put a for-sale sign on the last piece of the core clothing business started in Columbus by Leslie H. Wexner.
In the future, Limited Brands will focus on its fast-growing Victoria's Secret lingerie and Bath & Body Works personal-care lines, which accounted for more than 90 percent of profit last year.
Ending months of speculation, the Columbus retailer said it had agreed to sell 67 percent of Express to the private-equity firm Golden Gate Capital for $548 million. Limited Brands will keep a minority stake in the 631-store chain but will not be involved in day-to-day operations after the sale, which is expected to close by July 6.
In addition, the company will seek a buyer for the 253-store Limited Stores division, which traces its roots to 1963, when Wexner opened his first Limited store in the Kingsdale Shopping Center.
If Wexner was feeling sentimental about the exit from apparel, he wasn't showing it yesterday.
Back home, the sale of Express isn't expected to result in any downsizing in Columbus and could result in more jobs down the road, another senior executive said.
"We've retained an ownership interest (in Express) because we … continue to believe in its continued growth," said Martyn Redgrave, chief administrative officer at Limited Brands.
Express, which focuses on work and casual clothing for young men and women, will continue to use Limited's Easton-area headquarters and distribution centers.

80's Prom.
This past Saturday was the much anticipated 80’s prom party celebrating Chris Davis and Maren Roth’s birthdays! It felt almost like a high school dance – the girls came over before to get ready, we all wore corsages, the punch was spiked -- hell parents even came to take pictures! It would have been perfect except Pete got the flu and couldn’t come … and well, it just wasn’t the same without him! Here are a few pictures from the night…
Pretty in pink...

Cover-up in style.
One week from today I will be pool side, sipping margaritas and working on my tan. It's a short weekend getaway, a mere 3 days, but I'll take it! Here are my first thoughts for a new cover-up... all by Lilka.

Cool Artist: Matte Stephens
He has been featured on several of my favorite blogs in the last few months, but I couldn't resist creating a post of my own. I think his artwork is incredibly bright and original and to be honest I'm dying to purchase a print or two! These prints and more available at Etsy.

The Weekender Bag
Why is it that I never remember I need a new weekend bag until I'm packing to go away for a weekend?! Regardless -- I am going out of town this weekend, and wishing I had a prettier bag to take along. Maybe next time...
Bags available at Anthropologie.
