Weekend in Review:

Friday: Delayed at airport w/ Pete and Kevin = airport bar for several beers, arrive in NC and quickly changed at hotel, head to the West End bar for a long night of beer drinking (a pleasant surprise of running into Lindsay at the bar!!) , then to a late night at The Museum = Boone's Farm + my heels sinking in the mud.
Saturday: Early Tailgate @ Elon Football game, party at the Sigma Chi house = laughing at Pete's old composite pictures, drinks at the BP House, then finally dinner at Kimber's before passing out in the hotel at 9pm.

Overall it was an incredible (but exhausting!!) weekend.

I want this room to be in my house! I told Pete yesterday, while looking through the Pottery Barn catalog, that someday I will have this in my house and I will spend my days wrapping presents and being uber-crafty!

If I were getting married anytime soon (which I'm not!) I would have these as my Bridesmaids dresses! Although I think I would want a yellow or orange ribbon as opposed to the pink. Available at J.Crew.

Although Christmas is still months away, it never hurts to begin looking for those perfect gifts. I stumbled across this American Honey Flight, consisting of 9 regional honeys, and immediately thought of my sister and her husband ( as they eat honey + peanut butter sandwiches more most kids!). To buy or not to buy...

...That is the question?! I have wanted a leather jacket for some time now, but never found the perfect one that I was willing to splurge on. I saw this one in Banana Republic and really like it, but still am undecided. Any thoughts??

I heart Jeni's.

I go to Jeni's every chance I get! I love the design and feel of her store almost as much as I lover her icecream. This fall's flavors are no exception and my favorite is the Winter Squash with Pecan Pralines. It is warm, inviting and perfect for Autumn!

The Real LC.

Lauren Conrad just recently launched her first collection. Her Collection reflects Lauren's upbringing in Southern California, embracing the laid-back lifestyle with dresses, tops and silhouettes that feature novelty detailing, playful accents and clean lines and shapes. I give her tons of credit, as it's pretty amazing that she has her own line at the age of 21, however I think the collection as a whole is uninspired and boring. Thoughts?

Agora 2007

Agora is an immersive event that brings artists and art patrons together to celebrate Central Ohio's diverse and talented creative community. Agora guests have the opportunity to view and purchase hundreds of works of art, wander through fifty working artists' studios, experience performance acts, enjoy a variety of musical guests, and participate in seasonal activities. The event is designed to be enjoyable for guests of all ages.

Pete and I attended this amazing event on Saturday night .... they had an incredibly diverse collection of artwork, and some very good bands. We had a wonderful time.

Tastespotting = yummy.

I found this recipe for Pumpkin Raisin Bread Pudding with Butterscotch Sauce via Tastespotting, and can't wait to make it for my family this Fall.

2008 is almost here...

...I can tell because my 2007 calendar is quickly coming to an end. Luckily I have found a new one for 2008 that will be perfect to keep on my desk. It's a lovely combination of letter press, design and thoughtful sayings. Available here.

Weekend in Review:

Poolside at The ShoreClub (we saw someone get proposed to!)
The most amazing dinner at Nobu (black bean cod + rock shrimp) and then drinks at the Red Room.
Dancing at Prive, followed by more dancing at Club Space.
Cocktails at The Standard Hotel bar followed by a tour of the Miami Art District and dinner at Michael's Genuine.

It was an absolutely amazing weekend! More pictures (hopefully) to come soon...

Spencer Tunick

Artist Spencer Tunick photographs nude volunteers on five floors of the Sagamore Hotel on Miami Beach Monday for an installation at the 2008 Art Basel in Miami this December. Pete and I were staying down the street at The ShoreClub when this was taken! Had we known about it earlier I definitely would have taken part!

South Beach here we come....

Swatch watch.

My dad bought me and my sister swatch watches in London during my senior year of highschool spring break. Although I still love that watch, I think the red patent leather might be a little dated, and I'm ready for a new one! Here are my first ideas...

Macaroons.

Paulette's unique macarons are made daily in their Beverly Hills bakery. I've yet to try these delightful cookies, but based upon the beautiful vivid colors I can only imaging how delectable they actually taste!
