The best sushi in town...

Sushi still gets star treatment at renamed Japanese eatery

Akai Hana, the restaurant formerly known as Restaurant Japan, has long been considered a sushi powerhouse.

The layout and overall decor are virtually the same as they were before the name change, which wasn't tied to any change in ownership.

The sushi bar, which is a little smaller than many of the newer ones, is still unusually well-manned: At least three -- sometimes four -- sushi chefs are seemingly always trying to keep up with demand.

The well-illustrated menu does offer much more besides sushi.

I was so excited to find this article in the Columbus Dispatch! Akai Hana has been a long time favorite restaurant of ours, and we eat there about once a week! They truly have the best sushi in town!
